Abele Builders Strives to Give Our Customers with the Best Home-Buying Process Possible
For the following year after your closing date, we provide our customers with three service appointments. Our goal is to help the transition into your new home be easy and stress-free and provide you with the resources to keep your new home in great shape for years to come.
Initial punch list. Before your closing, we meet you at your home and walk through it together. As we get you acquainted to your new home, we walk through each room and make a list of items that may need to be addressed. Our goal is to complete this list within 30 days of closing.
6-month punch list. At 6 months, our service department will schedule a service appointment with you to address any items that typically arise in a new home. This items may include items that were overlooked on your initial walk through.
1 year. For our last service appointment, we ask that you compile a list of any last items that need attention. This appointment typically includes nail pops and settlement cracks.
It is very important to review both your new homeowner warranty binder (given to you at your initial walkthrough) and your Home Owner’s Association CPS-7 (“blue book”). Both are great resources for commonly asked questions about warranty issues, ground maintenance, etc.
